The foundation
SolaraPRO is a photochromic lens built on a high-index 1.61 MR8+ base. Upon UV exposure, the exclusive Spin Photo treatment —applied directly on the lens surface— reacts instantly, darkening it automatically and progressively.
When UV light decreases, the process reverses: the lens returns to its fully transparent state. No buttons, nothing to remember. Adaptation happens instantly.
Without UV exposure the lens stays completely clear, exactly like a conventional lens.
The Spin Photo treatment reacts even on cloudy days where UV radiation is still present, even if you don't perceive it directly.
Under direct sunlight the lens reaches its maximum darkness, offering protection comparable to a sun lens.
